Travel day today - I am headed back to NYC for New Year's festivities, and a chance to see Charlotte's Web with The Most Adorable Nephew in the Universe.
Over at RedStar, I've posted a couple of things, one about the Miami Airport and Airport Security, and one on John Edwards recent announcement. Check them out, along with an update from Leigh about her adventures in Chile.
Over here I've been a busy movie reviewer, so for your holiday film choosing, check my reviews of:
- Dreamgirls (highly recommend this)
- The Good Shepherd
- The Good German
- Curse of the Golden Flower
- Volver
- Casino Royale (still out there)
- For Your Consideration
- Shut Up and Sing
Some things I'm still planning to catch: Pan's Labyrinth, Notes on a Scandal, Pusuit of Happyness, Miss Potter. I'll try and post some reviews over the next week.
I'll probably post some more thoughts later today, once I have reached my destination.
And PS - Yes, I know, Saddam is dead. Does that really change anything?
Okay, I hesitated to see DreamGirl's 'cause it was just too gay...but I caved and will admit it was a rollicking great time. It's rare when theater translates to movies with such force. Motto: Listen to Wes, "he only speaks the truth!"
